DeSpark removes unwanted objects and distractions from your photos — on your device, at full resolution. Below are answers to common questions. If you need anything else, just email us.
We usually reply within a couple of days. For the fastest help with an image that didn't clean, use Report this image in the app so the picture is attached.
Getting started
Add an image in any of three ways:
- Choose image — pick from your photo library.
- Paste image — paste one you've copied to the clipboard.
- Share → DeSpark — share an image to DeSpark from another app (iOS and Android).
DeSpark cleans up small marks and distractions automatically, or brush over anything you want to remove. Drag the before/after slider to compare, then Save to your photo library or Share the result.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. All editing runs entirely on your device, and your photos are never uploaded. The app does send anonymous, image-free usage and crash diagnostics to help us improve it — details in the Privacy Policy.
It says "nothing to auto-clean." What can I do?
Use Brush it out manually to paint over anything you want to remove, or tap Try auto-clean anyway. If it still looks wrong, tap Report this image so we can take a look.
The result isn't perfect — can I fix it by hand?
Yes. Tap Touch up to open the manual brush, paint over anything you want gone, and tap Erase. Use Undo to step back, then Done to keep your edits.
Where are my cleaned images kept?
Every result is kept in the app's Gallery tab, stored only on your device. Tap a result to reopen, save, or share it. To remove them, delete an individual result or use Settings → Clear gallery. Saving to your photo library is a separate, explicit action.
Is the image quality reduced?
The cleaned image keeps its original resolution and format — no downscaling. PNGs stay lossless. JPEGs are re-saved at high quality (95), which is the small re-compression inherent to the JPEG format.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad (iOS/iPadOS), Android, and Mac (macOS). The same on-device cleaning works on all of them.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Open Settings in the app and use Report a bug or Request a feature — these open a pre-filled email to us. Or write directly to mukashi.dev@gmail.com.
